Good Afternoon EAGLE Families,
We would like to take a moment to let you all know how much we appreciate your patience as we work through our new traffic dismissal procedures. Our emphasis is the safety of your child.
Please keep in mind that dismissal is at 3:05 and you will not see students exiting the building until they leave their classrooms at 3:05.
We would like to address two main issues with this process: 1. circling around if your student misses the first line of cars in the pick-up lane and 2. passing cars in front of you in pick-up line. For safety reasons, if you’ve picked up your child, please do not pass other cars and wait your turn. We’ve noticed near accidents within the first two days of school. We want to avoid accidents, therefore your help in following our procedures is very much appreciated.
For classes that are outside and have loaded their students in the pick up lane, once these students are safely in their cars, we will ask you to circle back around if your student’s class has not come out or has not reached the loading area completely. We ask that you follow protocol and circle around.
When you are in the student loading zone, you may not pass any car in front of you. You must wait for your line to move forward. This ensures that any and all students are safe if they happen to run out to a car.
The past two dismissal days, we have actually improved our time from last year by about 5 minutes.
