Our first week back to school was a sunshiny welcome! The weather has been fantastic, but more importantly, so have your students!
We have an amazing student body here at EAGLE and every day they share parts of their lives with us that motivate us to keep showing up every day.
Aubrey Hepburn once said, “I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.”
It’s true, laugh a little, live a lot.
With that said, your students make us laugh regularly. We hope to do the same for you! Here at EAGLE, our inner child has surfaced and we decided to make some funny faces to let you know we get it. We know what it’s like to be that child and we embrace what we do completely. Thank you for sharing your students with us.
Now we want to share some of their first week with you!
The front office was excited to announce that our first week attendance was spectacular! Wednesday we had 99.1% attendance, Thursday we had 100% attendance, and Friday (today) we have 100%! Fantastic work EAGLE Families!
Students were excited to be back and were giving high fives to staff, telling stories about something new that happened over the summer, and already asking about running club.
Mrs. Quihuis has been working hard assessing our kinders before they start their first week next week. It will be fun seeing them in the halls Monday!
First graders are off to a great start and already diving into science, learning about plant and animal traits. Mrs. Morgan is getting them ready for their November field trip to the Zoo!
Second graders started off the week with community foundation building and getting to know one another. They also started reading to self activity and have already broken the record for last years second graders!
Our third graders have been showing exemplary skills walking in the halls. They may be the class to beat this year.
Fourth and fifth graders are adjusting well. Mr. Kline shared a story about two students sharing a book that they checked out from the classroom library. Seeing our students engaged and teaching each other is very exciting to see from a teacher.
Mrs. Kosydar taught her students #thesearenotsplashingstrokes to her students, building strong relationships from the start. You’ll have to ask them about these silly stories when they come home. So much happens in their classrooms, they sometimes forget the funnies.
With our first week tackled, our goal this year is to “Go for the Gold.” We are well on our way.
Thank you EAGLE Families!
