Fall is settling and taking no mercy! The rain and wind have been a drastic change compared to our comfortably warm summer. Students should be wearing their coats outside as the weather gets colder and you are welcome to send their rain boots if you want shoes to stay dry. Just be sure they have their tennis shoes in backpacks.
Last week we said goodbye to one of our amazing staff members, Mrs. Curliss. This week we are welcoming our new EAGLE office secretary, Stacie Schwarts, to the team. She will become a familiar face to many of you, so please give her a warm welcome as she learns how EAGLE runs.
Parent Club is sponsoring our school-wide pumpkin patch field trip and we can hear students chatter excitedly in the halls. It’s our biggest field trip we do with the school, and we thank all of our wonderful volunteers that help it run smoothly.
Micro citizens have been hired into ventures and agencies, are creating business accounts at the bank, and beginning production for products to be sold during their first market week.
Wednesday we had a big surprise to share with our school. Mr. Kline, one of our 4th/5th grade teachers has been nominated as a Crystal Apple Award contestant! On November 3rd, a ceremony will be held at the Elsinore and the recipient will be awarded the Crystal Apple.
You are welcome to purchase tickets for the event if you’d like.
We will post more once we have detailed information.
Next week is going to fly by! Wednesday is going to be a busy morning here at EAGLE. Not only is it an Early Release day, we also have picture retakes, and our first graders will have their first Bookmobile coming in.
Wow! Look at us go!
“Growing up happens in a heartbeat. One day you're in diapers; the next day you're gone. But the memories of childhood stay with you for the long haul. “
