Hello EAGLE Families,
EAGLE is gearing up for our new school year!
Staff have been back to work this week, attending meetings, hashing out schedules and getting their classrooms ready. We’ve also been busy updating policies and procedures, preparing EAGLE for its renewal this year from the State Board of Education. Our goal is to be awarded a 5 year renewal.
We would like to share some of these changes with you, especially taking into consideration that some procedures regarding discipline and dismissal have changed.
First Day of School
Dr. Trotta will visit each class the first week of school to introduce himself to students and will also explain the expectations he has of EAGLE Citizens.
End of School Day Dismissal
In the interest of safety and orderliness we have developed and will begin new procedures this year. Teachers will escort their students from classrooms at 3:05 pm, not earlier, nor later. Cars will line up and students will be dismissed from the first car at the first white pole to the last car at the second white pole.
Once all students are safely in their vehicles, drivers will be asked to move forward and exit the school campus. IF a student missed this pick-up line, then the driver of their car MUST circle back into the pick-up line and wait until it is their turn again to pick up their student.
NO STUDENT IS TO BE WALKING IN THE CAR LANE AT ANY TIME.
We will have one staff member be our traffic control coordinator. This person will safely instruct cars to move forward and ask cars to stop if they are not following protocol. Please keep in mind these procedures are for the safety of all of our students. Your cooperation is sincerely appreciated.
There is a school wide directory that all staff will be able to access and create classrooms. Parents will be able to see all the classes that their student is in and correspond with all teachers they are connected to.
